Fan art for the David Lean film 'Lawrence of Arabia'. I wanted to try and capture visually the way the almost mythological 'Lawrence' persona came to dominate and obscure the life of the very human and flawed T. E Lawrence.

At a more basic level I wanted to capture the feel of a really dense sandstorm. Most of this was done with a combination of some of Painter's distortion brushes. The main figure was worked on in Photoshop using an oil pastel brush.
